Being both a monster guitarist and bassist, Bobby told me he wanted a scaled up version of his Falcon guitar as a bass. The Condor idea was sparked! Bigger sibling to the Falcon, the Condor shares the overall ‘T’ look and body contours. A Lollar ‘P’ and ‘J’ pickup help provide the fat tone. And to shape that tone I use a ‘roasted/torrefied’ swamp ash body which is incomparably light, stable, and resonant delivering everything you like about traditional swamp ash and more. ‘The sense of air, space, and transparency is strong.’ I combine that with figured ‘roasted’ maple for a beautiful and stable neck to achieve a naturally golden carmel color scheme. Here’s what Bobby said about his Condor after its first live gig- ‘Epic! Every note was pronounced, punchy, and dripping with buttery goodness.’

34″ scale length

1 9/16″ nut width

22 frets

16″ radius

Indian rosewood fingerboard

Medium jumbo fretwire

MOP fingerboard inlays

Roasted Swamp Ash body

Figured roasted maple neck

Hipshot bridge and tuners

Lollar ‘P’ and ‘J’ pickups

‘T’ style controls

Premium electronic components

Custom pickguard

Bone Nut

Deluxe Mono gig bag

It was one of those ‘had to be’ moments that came from bouncing ideas with the amazing Santa Cruz, Ca musician Bobby Hanson.
