It was one of those ‘had to be’ moments that came from bouncing ideas with the amazing Santa Cruz, Ca musician Bobby Hanson. Being both a monster guitarist and bassist, Bobby told me he wanted a scaled up version of his Falcon guitar as a bass. The Condor idea was sparked! Bigger sibling to the Falcon, the Condor shares the overall ‘T’ look and body contours. A Lollar ‘P’ and ‘J’ \u00a0pickup help provide the fat tone. And to shape that tone I use a ‘roasted\/torrefied’ swamp ash body which is incomparably light, stable, and resonant delivering everything you like about traditional swamp ash and more. ‘The sense of air, space, \u00a0and transparency is strong.’ \u00a0I combine that with figured ‘roasted’ maple for a beautiful and stable neck to achieve\u00a0a naturally golden carmel color scheme.
